The Barbara Osterman Cabin supports Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan programming at Camp Merrie Woode by providing welcoming lodging and gathering space for campers. Cabin and camp facility projects require durable materials, thoughtful logistics, and improvements that can withstand seasonal use and Michigan weather.
This project focused on enhancing functionality, safety, and comfort while keeping the cabin aligned with the camp’s overall character and mission. Coordination across stakeholders and clear planning helped ensure improvements supported the camp experience both now and long-term.
Our role on the project
The Barton Group served as Owner’s Representative and Project Manager, providing oversight and advocacy throughout planning and construction. We supported communication across teams, monitored progress, and helped keep the project aligned with budget and schedule expectations.
